{"id":1825,"date":"2025-09-24T07:32:56","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T07:32:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sarai.igme.es\/?p=1825"},"modified":"2025-09-24T07:34:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T07:34:30","slug":"sarai-web-platform-to-obtain-historical-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sarai.igme.es\/index.php\/sarai-web-platform-to-obtain-historical-series\/","title":{"rendered":"SARAI web platform to obtain historical series of piezometry and precipitation from 1950 to 2022 (with data from MITECO and AEMET) for any point in Spain in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From the SARAI project (<a href=\"https:\/\/sarai.igme.es\/\">https:\/\/sarai.igme.es\/<\/a>), we have developed a web platform that allows downloading data provided by AEMET and MITECO from a list of coordinates or a polygon located anywhere in the Iberian Peninsula or the Balearic Islands.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The web platform, developed by C\u00e9sar Husillos Rodr\u00edguez (IGME-CSIC), can be accessed through the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/sarai-data.igme.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/sarai-data.igme.es\/<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tool is very useful in any hydrogeological study. Daily accumulated precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature data are accessible from 1950-01-10 to 2022-12-31. As soon as AEMET provides new data, it will be added to the SARAI platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main advantage of this tool is that the daily data interpolated by the AEMET can be used directly in a 5&#215;5 km grid mesh (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aemet.es\/es\/serviciosclimaticos\/cambio_climat\/datos_diarios?w=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.aemet.es\/es\/serviciosclimaticos\/cambio_climat\/datos_diarios?w=1<\/a>). Using the platform, the daily series of three magnitudes for the desired location is downloaded in an easy-to-read ASCII file (.CSV extension). Again, a web-based query form is used to record the point&#8217;s coordinates, radius of influence, and the date range of interest. The result is a CSV text file format with the longest and closest piezometric series to the given point, located within the established area of influence and recorded between the selected dates.
